Framtid - 8 Track EP

Here is Framtid's "8 Track EP" 7''. Framtid are a Japanese band that play crushing crust/hardcore the way it should be done, distorted as fuck chainsaw guitars, pounding drums, and a vocalist that makes it sound like it fucking hurts. If you haven't heard this, it comes highly recommended. This is definitely a band that needs to play in the states.

here is the debut cd from Krallice, an american black metal band who seems to be inspired by immortal, burzum, ulver, and guitar wizardry. this disc is 6 songs, all of them pretty long, with some weird riffage going on and amazing drumming. saw these dudes live last may and they blew me away. check this out.

Danzig - Live Bootleg

here's a live Danzig bootleg that ended up mixed in with my cd's. according to the hand-written text on the cd this was recorded on july 7th, 1989, so it is the classic danzig line-up doing 16 tracks from their first 2 albums (plus misfits/samhain songs) and includes an awesome live version of "when death had no name". so get this and rock out!

R.I.P. Dan O'Bannon and Chas Balun

I haven't posted on here for almost a month, the new year has come and I just wanted to say a few words about 2 people that passed away last month. Dan O'Bannon and Chas Balun. A lot of people might not be too familiar with these 2 icons of horror, but O'Bannon was the co-writer of such classics as ALIEN, TOTAL RECALL, DEAD AND BURIED, and writer/director of RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD. Chas Balun was a writer/artist/gorehound who co-founded (with Swamp Thing artist Steve Bissette) the much missed Deep Red fanzine and was the author of several Gore Score books, a book about Lucio Fulci, a fiction novel called Ninth And Hell Street, and much sought after artist (he did the covers for razorbacks reissues of Impetigo's represses). He fuckin' knew horror, he was funny, intelligent, and always biting yet insightful on his reviews. the world of horror has lost 2 great voices and visionairies. they will be missed.

it's been a while since i made a post, so here's some requested regional music that defies description. this is riding a giant duck, the brainchild of one mr. herbie brock, a one time resident of whitesburg, kentucky. kind of like a comedy/acoustic/who-knows-what-the-fuck-is-going-on mishmash. download at yr own risk. my favorite song is the last one, and you'll see why.
