Today is my birthday, but I have a present for you. Here is Thin Lizzy's "Black Rose", surely one of the greatest rock albums ever made. The guitar work on this one is amazing, and let it be known that Phil Lynott is the greatest rock lyricist ever. Get this, chill out, and let Thin Lizzy take over.

Happy birfday mah nigga!
ReplyDeleteMan thanks. As soon as I start this record I always know, like, everything's gonna be just fine man.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday dude!
ReplyDeleteNever paid attention to this band before except as FM radio filler. I regret that now - the uncharted middle way between Queen and AC/DC, but with way more charisma than either (maybe Bon Scott-era AC/DC comes close ...). Happy birthday - the music you post here has been pretty uniformly awesome.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday buddy
ReplyDeletethanks for the music
thanks to the anonymous commenters and aylmer for your birthday wishes.
ReplyDeleteand Thin Lizzy is seriously overlooked in the grand scheme of classic rock, i think. everyone knows the boys are back in town and jailbreak, but do they know the masterpiece that is this album, or Bad Reputation? where would a band like Iron Maiden be without Thin Lizzy? think about it.
NICE MUSTACHE
ReplyDeletegive it up is my favorite Lizzy jam!
